Face Claim: For his Andrew human morph, I use a young Ewan McGregor, particularly this one: link. But, um, just think of him as younger-looking...

Character Basics
Name: Forlin-Langor-Chulain
Age: 23 (human morph appears 15)
Nicknames: Andrew Gaunler
Education: Sophomore, High School
Financial situation: <Money isn't that tight for us, but I tend to spend most of my funds on food. I can't help it! It's just so sensational!>
Physical:
Hair Colour: Forlin's fur is an azure blue.
Hair Length: Except in the winter, Forlin keeps his fur finely-trimmed.
Eye Colour: His eyes are an Islamic Green.
Height: 6'5”
Weight: 423 lbs.
Race: <I may be an Andalite in body, but I've been raised as a human. I certainly act more like a human than an Andalite.>
Personal Style: <I love really cool gadgets. I have a smartphone, you know! My place is a bit disorganised, haha, but I keep it as clean as I can! Oh, in human morph, my preference is not typical, and it cause speople to make fun of me, but I don't care. I have varying collared shirts and neckties, as well as matching ties and chino pants of khaki, black, and navy blue. I have a leather belt. I don't like that it's made of cow but that's the only kind I can get, I guess—I don't know much about clothes. As for shoes, I have two pairs of all-weather moccasins I got from SEARs. One pair is black, and the other is camelskin. They're used for everything! And best of all, I can just slip them on.>
Detailed Description
Atop his head swivels a pair of eyes mounted upon stalks, and jutting from the sides of his head are two pointed ears with the left one being notched, and between them are his green eyes, as well as the three vertical nose-slits he breathes through. His long neck secures his head to his torso, from which extend two long, thin arms. These reach halfway down the forearm of his front leg, and end in five-fingered, two-thumbed hands. His head, neck, and hands are covered in courser fur, while that on his back, chest, and arms is longer and softer. Around his neck—whenever he can wear it—is a sterling silver ankh pendant. A memento of a time when he was obsessed over ancient Egypt.
His torso is attached to a deer-like lower body, all of which is covered by the longer fur. It ends in four powerful legs, allowing for great agility. His rear legs are bent back. They end in hooves, and in the back, dewclaws. The bottoms of his hooves are hollow, and capable of absorbing the nutrients of the grass and water (and sometimes, small, innocent creatures). He can close his hooves if necessary. And extending from his flank is that which makes the Andalite a most menacing opponent indeed: a long, powerful tail with a sharp, scythelike blade of bone. Forlin's is especially sharp—he has been blessed with such a magnificent blade.
Forlin has many human morphs, the main of which is Andrew.
Personality
Strongest personality traits: <I'm just like any other human when in morph, aside from an increased appetite and the feeling of blindness. I'm good at keeping control, however, around food, when I need to. People say I'm a nice guy, too, and smart as well. I care about learning, after all, it's a privilege I don't want to pass up.>
Weakest personality traits: <Humans are confusing to me. I don't understand all the body language, and I tend to take things literally. It's also hard to put things into words sometimes. And at times, I feel so horribly lonely! What's worse is that whenever I make a friend, I have to lie to them about who I am, and sometimes that makes me feel sick inside! I'm not afraid to cry, and in fact at times I do; emotions are difficult to handle. One thing that's always made me feel great, and that I am shamely addicted to, is the Internet. Scared to death of thunderstorms, too. And the Yeerks. They're enemies of the Andalites, aren't they? What if they come to Earth?>
Needs of the character: <I need companionship. Friends, to hang around. Someone to trust, eventually with my secret, and to protect.>
Ambitions: <I want to learn about my species, the Andalites. There is so much that I don't know!>
Interests and hobbies: <The Internet, most of all, but I love getting out and being with people. I love to draw, and to write, and to roleplay. School is enjoyable for me, and I'm devoted to getting good grades. And when I don't mind being alone, I love to morph a red-shouldered hawk and fly through the skies.>
Possessions this character values most: <My father was a great warrior, and he gave me this bandolier and shredder to use in case I needed to protect myself. I have trained with it, and I carry the shredder everywhere, in case it is needed. It reminds me of father, and I miss him when I see his brave gaze when I hold it, but he would want me to use it and I will.>
What drives your character: <Friendship is the most important thing, and justice. There is so much bad out there, that someday, I hope to do something about it. And I want friends, thus I've become more outgoing.>
How does your character handle conflict: <I must admit, I'm aggressive by nature and my first solution would be violence, but most of the time, I try to avoid conflict.>
What are your character's prejudices: <I just can't stand some humans. I hate people who are mean to other people just because they're different. I don't like people who break my stuff—in fact, they might end up minus a finger. It's always disgusting when girls go 'round talking about how many guys they've slept with, and guys boom their loud music in their cars and act obnoxious in the halls. Oh, and you know what I really hate? People who try to drive their beliefs into a person, like my friend Brandon's father.>
How does your character feel about love: <I'm scared to death of love! What if it happens to me? What if it kills a good friendship when we break up? Love is a scary thought!>
About crime: <Ugh, crime. I hate criminals, especially thieves. They're all so driven by money! They're horrible, though I think major corporations are just as bad. Justice needs to prevail, and I might very well go vigilante someday.>
What is your character's philosophy on life: <Live for today, and don't worry about tomorrow. Find joy in whatever you can, and protect those you care about.>
History
A warrior by the name of Sarial-Langor-Donraf, and a scientist by the name Jiran-Teralel-Yotirr, were living on a space station, and eventually fell in love and were married. They were happy to have a baby boy, whom they named Forlin-Langor-Chulain—his father’s middle name being the middle name as that was Andalite tradition for the first child. Forlin grew up on the station, though, unfortunately due to his later trauma, these memories would not remain with him. The family was happy, despite being so far from home, and to little Forlin...well, this was home. The young boy was lucky as well; he was allowed to touch the Escafil device and thus was given a great power: the power to morph. His smart father had him do that, just in case. To this day it has kept him safe on the planet Earth.
But tragedy always has to strike, doesn’t it? This time, it was not in the form of the Yeerks that the Andalites so feared, but a threat from within. The creatures literally consumed the base from within, growing stronger with everything the Andalites threw at them. Many brave warriors and brilliant scientists died, and the family was not sure of who else escaped, but they did. Terrified, they remained together, with Forlin too young to comprehend what was happening.
Unfortunately, their ship malfunctioned, and they were forced to escape to the nearest planet, choosing Earth seeing as it had plenty of grass to sustain them. However, the damage was more extensive than they thought, and Forlin's parents were killed in the crash. Only Forlin, thanks to his small size, survived. Luckily for the young Andalite, the human—Kyle Henderson—that saw the strange creature, followed it, and found him, scared to death and in shock. He took him home, and cared for him, hiding him from any and all except those he trusted.
Much of his former life was forgotten, as he integrated into human society. He imitated humans, trying to be like them, focusing on this, and any and all thoughts about his parents were positive ones, thoughts that told him his parents would be returning. And that he could make them proud by telling them how much he’d learned of the humans. And they’d be happy he was safe. He gained a human morph, and Kyle would take him places, show him things, and teach him things. He eventually learned English, the native tongue. Kyle moved to a more rural place: a log cabin on 14 acres. Things were lonely in Kyle’s house, though. The loneliness of the forests gave him, though, plenty of time to reflect. Kyle also allowed him to acquire a hawk, and fly around, as long as he returned home. He morphed other animals, such as a Catahoula Leopard dog. Overall, he enjoyed the rural atmosphere at the time, and it helped to...heal him. He wondered if his parents were out there, and then it all finally dawned on him—they were never coming back.
Forlin ran into the forest, deep into it. Down to a little paradise, where he remained, drinking from the stream and eating the grass. Kyle eventually found him, and brought him back. Eventually, little Forlin healed, and focused yet again on living as a human. As a human, Forlin was always awkward. He would always sound out words, and he was a disaster around food, just like any Andalite who has morphed a human would understand the reason of. He was addicted to television as well. He would watch it whenever he wasn't running outside. Kyle watched him, and made sure that he was ready for the next step.
It was then that he was ready to start into a human school. Records for his human self were forged, and he entered into the school system. He was awkward, and the other children would make fun of him. It was risky, but he knew how to act like a human. He also had "medical reasons" for having to potty constantly—in other words, demorph in the bathroom. And of course, “behavioural reasons” for his tendencies to overeat and sound out words, which were corrected constantly by the teacher, until he got used to not making them.
He made some friends at school, too, some that would be lifelong. First, there was Brandon. He was a grade below him, and he was awesome. And there were Alan, Kelsey, Nick, Dodie, Elvis (yes, Elvis), Steven, and Darby. Never serious, always joking, Darby had that natural talent of making anything seem funny. Forlin envied him. Dodie was a sweet girl, yet hyper much of the time. Steven was a regular nerd, Kelsey was sweet yet timid, Nick and Elvis were hilarious and hyper, and Alan was a calm, collected guy. Of course, though, there were times when he’d have problems—for example, when these boys were beating up on him, and he started demorphing. Though they freaked, he was the one that ended up getting into trouble, because the boys said the kid was trying to “freak them out” or something like that.
One day, he discovered a whole new social world online. He didn't know what the hell he was doing, so Kyle took it away almost instantly, though Forlin still had access when he went to visit Brandon's folks in Santa Barbara. When he was in Texas, he would use graphics a lot. They moved to a rural house, a log cabin, where they lived amongst the wildlife, giving Forlin plenty of place to run with no chance of people other than Kyle and his most trusted seeing him. No Internet, though, and the young Andalite was sad about that. He had to access from school, and he got in trouble for devising ways to get past the BESS filter. He found ways further to deal with that, and would spend his lunch times and any other time he could squeeze out in front of the computer.
And yet another life-changing thing happened: he joined a website named Fire Emblem Planet, which he became a huge part of in later years. It was part of his "Fire Emblem obsession" that he had at the time. That is where he first started seriously roleplaying, as James the cavalier. And from there...well, his school life was a bit difficult, and he had trouble behaving in his classes. His last year of middle school was great. He lived alone in the log cabin; Kyle wasn't around much. He would listen to music, and participate in roleplays, seeing as Kyle finally got them Internet access.
After his transition from middle to high school, Forlin moved to Santa Barbara, where Brandon was now living in an apartment. There were times Brandon would be away, though—seeing as he was in the military now—and Forlin would “stay with relatives” though thanks to his condition, he would be on his own. Entering into a new high school would be interesting, meaning new friends, and Forlin hoped that he could make friends that he could “hang out” with a lot.
Sample RP:
Ever since that fateful night, going to school didn’t feel like it used to. Every person she passed in the hall was a potential Controller. And the rest—excluding her fellow Animorphs—were oblivious to the silent invasion going on, oblivious for the most part to the existence of aliens on Earth. It was as if she had a whole other reality hidden inside. And yet, for those around her, life went on. And for her, life would have to go on. “Normal” life, as they put it.
While other people were thinking about that upcoming test in history class, or that paper they [in]conveniently forgot to finish until the last minute, Jamie was thinking about how she’d almost been trapped—along with her friends—as a trout for the rest of her life. It was unsettling, though she had Tobias to thank for the fact that she wasn’t. He’d pretty much saved her life, and that of her friends...and for that, she was eternally grateful.
She finished her lunch and piled the dirty tray with the other dirty trays, tossing the milk carton; it had consisted of spaghetti and meatballs, with a breadstick and a small salad on the side. It of course wasn’t high quality, but it did its purpose in feeding her, as it should, and it tasted alright. The milk was pretty tasty, and maybe fattening, but she didn’t care. She had a good appetite, yet she was still skinny and rather athletic. She turned off her player and pulled her earbuds out of her ears, stowing this in her pocket.
Jamie always liked being early for class, and finishing lunch gave her a chance to do just that. After a trip to the bathroom, she headed down the hallway. Jamie loved singing, though much of what she enjoyed singing were the songs she listened to, a large mixture of different music, mostly the Oldies that her father had introduced to her. And from all of those, only what she was able to sing.
She arrived with nobody stopping her. And there wasn’t much reason for her to be stopped; she really didn’t have many friends to connect with at school and she wasn’t breaking any rules by going to choir class early. She entered, looking up; normally, and she didn’t know why she did this, her eyes were downcast. She scanned the room, and saw a girl with black hair and pale skin. She looked older than most of the students around. She began to walk over, and as she neared her, she asked, “Do you mind if I sit beside you?”
When the girl nodded, Jamie smiled, and took a seat. "I'm Jamie. And you?" she asked. She pulled out her drawing book. Most of the time, she'd been drawing animals and people. She turned to a page where she'd been drawing a character of hers. He was a knight, wearing armour, carrying a large sword.
